At the start of the treatment, after an intake to be sure the treatment is possible, your teeth are polished to remove deposits. Your gums are then protected with silicone gel. |

The Perfectsmile Whitening treatment takes place in Amstelveen, Breda, The Hague, Eindhoven, Hilversum & Maastricht.
- Why?
Because of the influence of your daily way of living, e.g. exposure to coffee, tea, smoking and some medicine products, this will cause the effect that your teeth are easily prone to discoloring. This will affect some people more than others. Age is also an important factor in this.
Nobody feels comfortable having stained teeth. Some people even feel ashamed whenever they are laughing. But a bright, white smile is exactly what makes you attractive!

Under supervision by dentists and through the provision of the most modern equipment, we guarantee you that our professional, effective treatment will give your self-confidence an enormous boost.
- How?
Perfectsmile uses the most modern technique for whitening your teeth. After the interview, in which we will give you a realistic idea of what the possibilities are, we take you to one of our treatment rooms. When the treatment takes place, we apply a special developed gel that contains hydrogen carbamide peroxide.
The use of hydrogen carbamide peroxide is safe. It has been independently acknowledged by the Scientific Committee for Cosmetic and Non-Food Products (SCCNFP), US Food & Drug Administration (FDA), worldwide professional organisations and key opinion leaders for the dental profession. All these parties have concluded that the use of carbamide peroxide for whitening teeth is safe and effective.
After we apply the bleaching gel we install a plasma lamp. This activates the bleaching gel. The whitening process is now ready to start.
In order to get the best results we repeat the procedure a few times. The treatment takes approximately 0.5 to 1.5 hours.
Perfectsmile always chooses the most modern products and does not rely on one specific manufacturer. This is why we can independently choose the products we use for our treatments. Currently we use a product that doesn’t require isolating your gums. This is safer and more comfortable!
- Does the treatment hurt, are the side-effects?
Theoretically the treatment is painless, however there is always the possibility that your teeth become somewhat sensitive during or after the treatment. No side effects have been reported or experienced.
If you choose for our after-care treatment (included in our Intensive-treatment) you are not allowed to eat and drink discoloring products for 30 minutes. Afterwards you are able to do what you want, but now with a bright, white smile! Otherwise to ensure the treatment results are kept, you should pay attention to what you eat and drink for 48 hours.
- What happens to white fillings and crowns?
In most cases the material which is used for making white fillings (composite), will bleach enough not to create any color difference with your teeth. If this does happen, your dentist is able to change your filling(s) with new one(s) in a matching new color of your teeth.
Crowns are mostly slightly whiter than your teeth. Also porcelain will stain less than your teeth. Therefore performing a treatment is not a problem in most cases..
Of course we will give you our personal advise in the brief intake which happens before the treatment will take place. The treatment is right after this intake, so you will not have to return.
- What to do during the treatment?
During the treatment we make it as comfortable for you as possible. On our plasma-screens you are able to watch television-programs and movies (e.g. 'Desperate Housewives', 'Sex and the City' and 'Lost'). Besides that, we give you the opportunity to listen to your favorite music on one of our iPods*. You can even compile your own playing list!
- What are the costs for a treatment?
Treatment is possible from € 150. Satisfaction is guaranteed. Meaning we will repeat the treatment if the result do not meet your expectations (of course the desired level of whitening is discussed in the interview before the treatment).
